#9 – Testing Your Niche Market



Testing your Topic

You can test your topic before investing money in creating an elaborate website.  Testing your topic will also help you build your mailing list.  Some online marketers suggest testing your market until you reach the break even point.  There are several ways to test your market.

1.Create an opt-in website where you give something away for free (low cost lead generating product) when people subscribe to your mailing list, then begin to up sale your next product. Continue to add new similar products to your line.

2.Create Google Adwordsto bring traffic to your website.

3.Create a Sales Letter to send to your mailing list. Your sales letter should contain:

Compelling Headline

First paragraph draw reader in

Body of letter full of benefits

Write to readers like talking to your best friend

Speak directly to reader

Don’t talk down to readers

Tell stories and give examples

Short sentences and paragraphs

Use headers and bullets

Use contractions (that’s how we talk)

Standard 12pt type

No graphics

Answer objections in copy

Include testimonials

Give them an offer they can’t refuse

Call to action
